Photo © Etihad Airways Etihad Airways has announced a recruitment day in Athens, giving Greek nationals with hospitality experience the opportunity to take their career high into the sky by joining the airline’s World Leading Cabin Crew. “To support the rapid, dynamic expansion of Etihad Airways, we are delighted to host our recruitment drive in Greece, a key market for the airline,” said Aubrey Tiedt, Etihad Airways’ Vice President Guest Services. The recruitment day will take place in Athens on Monday, 16 June. It will offer applicants the opportunity to meet Etihad Airways’ recruitment specialists who will provide comprehensive information about living in Abu Dhabi and the dynamics of working with guests at 30,000 feet. The airline hopes to attract and recruit individuals from Greece who are incredibly passionate and dedicated “to deliver remarkable hospitality.” According to Etihad Airways, its team hails from more than 110 nationalities and enjoys great career development opportunities commencing as cabin crew, inflight chefs or food and beverage managers; progressing to onboard leadership and management roles. More than 100 Greek nationals currently work for Etihad Airways, including 38 core staff, 37 cabin crew and 35 pilots. Cabin crew are all based in the vibrant city of Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates, with its cosmopolitan culture and wealth of world-class leisure, sports and entertainment activities. Along with many other benefits, cabin crew are also provided with company medical insurance and fully furnished company accommodation. Etihad Airways commenced operations to Athens in June 2009, and since then has carried almost 400,000 guests on the route. From 2 July 2014, the airline will increase its current daily Athens-Abu Dhabi services from seven to 10 per week.
