Singapore Airlines Returns To Athens, Greece, For The Summer

On Monday 9 June, Singapore Airlines, the national carrier of Singapore, resumed its direct flights from Singapore to Athens International Airport “Eleftherios Venizelos.”

Until 9 October 2014, Singapore Airlines will operate two weekly direct flights from Athens to Singapore and vice versa. It remains the only airline that operates direct flights from Greece to Singapore.

Flights will be operated on Mondays and Thursdays via Boeing 777-200ER aircraft. Singapore-Athens flights will operate as SQ382, departing at 2:05am and arriving at 8:30am. Athens-Singapore return flights will operate as SQ381, departing at 1pm and arriving at 4:55am the following day.

From Singapore, the airline offers regional and long haul connections as it has a strong presence in the Southeast, East and South Asia and also in Australia and New Zealand.

“Singapore Airlines’ relaunch of direct flights to and from the Greek capital is expected to serve a large number of Greeks living in Australia and Asia, as well as passengers traveling to our country for tourism and business purposes,” said Takis Dimitriou, Managing Director of Asian Aviation, the official representative of Singapore Airlines in Greece.
