The new platform was introduced during a mega event held in Athens attended by over 600 guests from leading Greek travel agencies, organizations, airlines, airports and hotels. “We work closely with customers and partners to shape the future of travel,” said Eva Karamanou, General Manager of Amadeus in Greece and Cyprus and Deputy Regional Director Southern Europe. The Amadeus Selling Platform Connect aims to provide travel agents with advanced and carefully designed tools and solutions that will allow them to excel professionally by providing high quality services to their customers. The new platform is accessible fully online, has no location or technology constraints and offers real customization and regionalization capabilities. According to Amadeus, the Amadeus Selling Platform Connect is not another “off-the-shelf product,” but a real solution containing powerful tools that enable travel agents to truly customize their platform to their business needs. The platform’s innovative features include a fully redesigned interface, built hand in hand with travel agencies, and a new booking file concept. A unique feature is available that allows agents to enter cryptic commands and get the results in a rich graphical display. Also, commands from other GDSs are not only translated but also benefit from this cryptic to graphical conversion.
