Citing data from a new survey by A&B ANALYSE and M3 Research, conducted among 2,300 Scandinavians last February, North Events recently released important conclusions for Greece. According to the “Travel Image” survey, among 89 countries, Greece came sixth in the ranks in the top holiday destinations category for the Scandinavians. Greece follows the United States, Australia, Spain, Italy and Thailand. In the overall ranking of the evaluation of all countries in regards to their tourist image, Greece is in the 28th place. The overall evaluation results from a number of criteria, such as how attractive a country is to Scandinavians (various age groups and categories), etc. In the “Awareness” category, Greece ranks 7th and in the “Attractiveness” category, Greece is in the 35th place internationally. The Scandinavian market is the third largest outbound market in Europe. Greece welcomes some 1.5 million visitors a year from Scandinavia. Grekland Panorama 2015 In this context and following the success of the first Grekland Panorama exhibition in Stockholm, Sweden, organizer North Events said it would invest in a more dynamic promotion of Greece next year. The second Grekland Panorama exhibition will be held in a larger venue, the Ericsson Globe, covering a total area of 4,200 square meters. The exhibition will take place 13-15 February 2015. Destinations across Greece and many tourism businesses have already confirmed their participation in the Grekland Panorama 2015. Also, lesser known Greek destinations will be promoted to the Scandinavian market. Events during the exhibition will include free seminars on the tourism market in Scandinavia for Greek professionals. Apollo Kuoni, Airtours, Ving, Solresor and TUI Nordic are among the major tour operators of the Scandinavian market that will support the exhibition. For further information, press here.
