Photo © Municipality of Sifnos “Leader” is the name of a new program that will launch in late August or early September and finance new or existing businesses on islands of the Cyclades region in Greece. According to the Development Corporation of Local Authorities of the Cyclades, the program will offer funds that will cover up to 60 percent of investment projects in villages located on the islands of Santorini, Kea, Milos, Mykonos, Sifnos, Syros, Tinos, Ios and Serifos. The funds will cover the creation or support of : – small tourist accommodation units and hotels (up to 40 beds) and campsites – restaurants, bars, cafes – small businesses of agricultural products (wine, vegetables, meat, milk, eggs, honey, olives, flowers, etc.) – business services (salons, barber shops, grocery stores, etc.) – rural tourism services (alternative forms of tourism, special forms of tourism, sports venues, tasting rooms).
