Photo © Geo Routes According to an announcement, among other things, the memorandum aims to apply and display logistics in the supply chain of services along the lines of the European Logistics Association (ELA) to the benefit of the sustainable development of society, culture and the environment. The memorandum was signed between the president of ILME, Spyros Olympios, and the president of Geo Routes, Giannis Balakakis, during the Up Greek Logistics summer event held at the Piraeus Port Authority. Logistics is the key factor in the management of the flow of products and services between the point of origin and the point of consumption in order to meet some requirements, of customers or corporations. Today, in the era of a globalized economy, their efficient organization and management is considered a prerequisite for managing competition at an individual and collective level. During the event, ILME, which is a representative member of ELA in Greece, announced the launch of the first Certified Professional Logistician Program in Greece. The program will run in accordance with the European standards set by ELA that aim to further strengthen knowledge, abilities and skills.
