The memorandum was signed between the president of ILME, Spyros Olympios, and the president of Geo Routes, Giannis Balakakis, during the Up Greek Logistics summer event held at the Piraeus Port Authority. At Greece’s main port, the latest updates about tourism and cruise programs were introduced under the perspective of the logistics points of view.

Logistics is the key factor in the management of the flow of products and services between the point of origin and the point of consumption in order to meet some requirements, of customers or corporations.

Today, in the era of a globalized economy, their efficient organization and management is considered a prerequisite for managing competition at an individual and collective level.

During the event, ILME, which is a representative member of ELA in Greece, announced the launch of the first Certified Professional Logistician Program in Greece. The program will run in accordance with the European standards set by ELA that aim to further strengthen knowledge, abilities and skills.
