This new experience is known as the Zafiro Experience, a new traditional Greek tour. According to the organizers of the tour, tradition is kept vivid at Zafiro Experience as visitors will have the opportunity to view some pretty outdated equipment in full action. Installed on the premises are a working horizontal loom, a preindustrial watermill and a wood oven. But that’s not all of course. Through the Zafiro Experience, visitors will meet a Greece that cooks and has fun! Greek cuisine Visitors are invited to sample Greek-style recipes that are nutritional value-packed. They will savor genuine souvlaki, uncover the secrets of the famed mousaka and surprise their friends back home with delicious homemade appetizers. Visitors will follow in the footsteps of bread-making, from grain to harvest, then grind the seeds in an authentic preindustrial Greek watermill and enjoy the unique scent as it bakes in a traditional wood-burning oven. A true taste of Greece: Opa! Visitors are invited to be Greek and effusive for a day. They will see the most talented traditional dancers of the famed Dora Stratou dance troupe, with their authentic costumes and zest for life. They will be invited to join the dancers and instructors in learning the manly Zeimbekiko and upbeat Kalamatiano Greek dances. “Through the Zafiro Experience, visitors will laugh with their heart; clap with enthusiasm; enjoy abundant Greek wine like Zorba – the Greek who knew how to live – and even break plates, as the custom dictates,” the organizers said. “And just before the final farewell, all will raise a full-bodied glass of wine and make a toast to the joys of life. Opa!” For further information, press here. Follow GTP Headlines on Google News to keep up to date with all the latest on tourism and travel in Greece.
