After Kea and Milos, Ios is the third island of the Cyclades in Greece where a major tourism resort will be created. The Greek ministries of Environment and Tourism recently gave the go-ahead for the investment, which refers to the construction of a tourism resort, located in the west of the island, with a total capacity of 249 beds.

The investment on Ios is of the “105 Tourism & Technical Operations Real Estate Company SA” and will include a five-star hotel, a spa center and holiday homes. According to reports, 40 percent of the holiday homes can be sold and the remainder will be available for rent.

The resort on Ios will cover 181 stremma, divided into two parts. The first part will be located near the Kambara beach and second near the Diakofto peninsula.

Moreover, the investing company also received permits to create two artificial beaches in the bays of Kambara and Maniata, as well as a platform for boats transporting guests.

It is reminded that in May, two firms received permission for the creation of two major tourism resorts on the islands of Kea and Milos.
