Ryanair Launches Business Class Flights, Will Announce Second GDS Partner Soon

Low cost carrier Ryanair unveiled a new business class service on 27 August that aims to offer Europe’s business travelers a tailored suite of travel benefits.

Starting from a fare priced at £59.99, “Ryanair Business Plus” will offer business and corporate travelers flexible ticket changes, a 20kg bag allowance, fast-track at airports, priority boarding and premium seating.

According to Ryanair, more than 25 percent of their passengers already travel on business.

The airline will soon launch a second GDS partnership, which will allow even more businesses access to its low fares, “saving European companies millions in travel expenses every year.”

According to Ryanair’s Chief Marketing Officer, Kenny Jacobs, the carrier now offers even more business routes, connecting Europe’s major cities with additional flights and improved schedules, ensuring great savings for businesses of all sizes.

“This launch of Ryanair Business Plus, combined with our new groups and corporate service, and partnership with Travelport GDS – with a second GDS partner to be announced soon – will make business travel with Ryanair ever simpler, as we continue to offer so much more than just the lowest fares,” Mr. Jacobs said in an announcement.

According to the airline, the launch of the business class service is part of the company’s commitment to improve its customer experience under its “Always Getting Better” program, following the introduction of allocated seating, a free second carry-on bag, reduced fees, etc.

Ryanair also announced on 27 August its London Stansted summer 2015 schedule with three new routes to Cologne, Edinburgh and Glasgow Intl, as well as increased frequencies on 24 other routes.
