XTERRA Swim-Run Event In Halkidiki

A two-day event including a half marathon road race and swimming competitions will take place in Halkidiki this September by XTERRA Greece and the Porto Carras Grand Resort.

The 1st XTERRA/Porto Carras Half Marathon event will take place 27-28 September within the resort’s facilities in Sithonia, Halkidiki and consist of a  Half Marathon road race 21 km, Road Races 5 & 10 km, Swimming race 1000, 2500 & 5000 meters, Kids road race and Kids swimming race.

Running
All road running races will be held on the afternoon of Saturday 27 September at 17:30 on smooth gravel and tarmac paths. Throughout the race, participants will enjoy the resort’s magnificent 17,000 acre landscape surrounded by natural pine forests and spectacular views of the Gulf of Toronaios.

Swimming
All swimming races will be held on the morning of Sunday 28 September at 10am at the 9km sandy beach located in front of the Porto Carras complex.

Awards
After the completion of the games each day awards will be given for of all categories. After the award ceremony on Saturday, a Beach Party will take place at the hotel beach.
