SETE 13th Tourism & Development Conference: The Strategic Advantages of Greece

The Strategic Advantages of Greece: Investments & Growth” will be the theme of the 13th Tourism & Development Conference of SETE, which will take place on 20-21 October 2014 at the Divani Apollon Palace & Thalasso.

Panels will explore topics referring to the extension of the tourism season, the investments that must be implemented immediately in Greece and the new communication and promotion trends of tourism products.

Leading professionals of the global travel industry will participate in the two-day conference such as Peter Long (CEO, TUI Travel PLC), Andree Manning (Head of Global PR, Booking.com), Juan José Riveiro (Principal, The Boston Consulting Group) and John Tercek (VP Commercial and New Business Development, Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd).

On the Greek side, many renowned professionals of the business, political and academic scene will be attending the SETE conference such as Mihalis Mavropoulos (CEO, TUI Hellas), Panos Paleologos (President, Hotelbrain), Eftichios Vassilakis (Vice Chairman, Aegean Airlines), Yiannis Paraschis (CEO, AIA), Stefanos Isaias (CEO, Enterprise Greece), Miltos Kambouridis (Founder & CEO, Dolphin Capital Investors), Christos Megalou (CEO, Eurobank), Paschalis Bouchoris (CEO, HRADF), Anastasios Chomenidis (CEO, Lampsa Hellenic Hotels SA), Dimitris Buhalis (Professor, Director , eTourism Lab/Deputy Director, International Centre for Tourism and Hospitality Research, Bournemouth University, UK) and Marianna Sigala (Associate Professor, University of the Aegean).

The “Tourism & Development” conferences are established interventions of SETE to open discussions and create public dialogue on tourism and are aimed towards investors, entrepreneurs, senior business executives and public sector officials who aspire to have an active role in the development of Greek tourism.
