The “Navarino Challenge” marathon wrapped up successfully for the second year in Messinia, in the Peloponnese, Greece.

The three-day event took place 19-21 September and welcomed more than 500 participants of all ages, who set the pace in four races together with Greek-American ultramarathon man Dean Karnazes.

Enjoying perfect sunny weather and the Greek Messinian nature, this year’s event took place in Kalamata and in Costa Navarino. “Navarino Challenge” aimed once again at raising awareness on the benefits of the Mediterranean diet as well as on the global issue of childhood obesity.
