Hilton_Athens_Exterior_2Guests at the Hilton Athens Hotel in Greece are invited to “make a big difference with small change” this winter to children in need. The initiative is part of the Europe-wide fundraising campaign “Small Change Big Difference” that will run from 1 October to 31 December 2014.

Make-A-Wish_Greece_1The campaign invites Hilton guests to add an optional 1 euro to their room bill during their stay. All proceeds raised from the campaign will be donated to Greek NGO “Μake-A-Wish Greece” (Κάνε-Μια-Ευχή Ελλάδος). “Μake-A-Wish” grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions, in order to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy.

“Small Change Big Difference” is an initiative of the “Hilton in the Community Foundation,” the charitable arm of the Hilton family of hotels, which was founded in 2000 in order to support children in need.

The Foundation’s core costs are funded by Hilton Hotels, so every net pound raised goes directly to good causes. All funds raised by hotels in a country will benefit young people in that same country.
