Greek Gastronomy Fundraiser To Kick Off In Chicago, USA

Residents of Chicago in the US can experience traditional Greek food and drinks by attending the annual Greek food and wine fundraiser “KOUZINA,” scheduled to take place at the National Hellenic Museum in the city’s Greektown on 16 October.

This year there will be a “Twist on the Classics” as popular chefs will be free to create culinary offerings using traditional Greek ingredients and flavors, which KOUZINA attendees will then get to enjoy.

Renowned chef and author Diane Kochilas will be on hand signing copies of her latest book on Ikaria.

Some 20 chefs and restaurants will participate in the KOUZINA event including Louie Alexakis (Avli Estiatorio), Jimmy Bannos (Heaven on Seven/The Purple Pig), George Engel (City Gate Grille/Calamos) and Joe Farina (Joe Fish).
