Ryanair To Offer More Flights From Chania To Thessaloniki, Athens

ryanair-aircraft-(2)Low cost carrier Ryanair has announced that it will increase its flights from Chania, Crete, to Thessaloniki and Athens.

The airline currently flies six times a week between Chania and Thessaloniki and 13 times a week between Chania  and Athens. Starting 26 October, the number of flights to Thessaloniki will increase to seven times a week and to Athens will increase to 18 times a week. Chania will maintain its connection with Pafos three times a week.

In total, the airline will operate 28 flights per week to these three destinations from Chania Airport.

Also, Ryanair will operate a direct weekly flight from Chania to the central airport of Glasgow, Scotland, bringing the number of international destinations up to 29.

Speaking at a press conference in Crete recently, Ryanair’s marketing and sales manager for Greece, Chiara Ravara, announced that by the end of this year, some 850,000 passengers will have passed through Chania’s airport, while the total of passengers using the company’s network throughout Greece will reach four million.

She also mentioned that the company will add 200 new aircraft, 197 seaters and Boeing 737 Max to its fleet, which will be gradually received between 2019 and 2023.
