Company updates Greece-Based Marine Tours Aims For The Stars by GTP editing team 3 November 2014 written by GTP editing team 3 November 2014 0 comments Share 0FacebookTwitterLinkedinWhatsappEmail 18 What started out in 1980 as a small travel service provider for shipping companies based in the port of Piraeus has grown into a fully-fledged travel organization that topped the Greek market in 2013 with an annual turnover of over 210 million euros. Marine Tours‘ first office may have opened its doors in Piraeus but today it has grown into the largest diversified travel organization in Southeast Europe, covering the travel needs of corporate clients, shipping companies and end-consumers, while maintaining a leading position on the Greek market. After catering to the needs of Athens and Piraeus, it was only a matter of time before Marine Tours extended its activities to the port cities of Thessaloniki, Patras and Iraklion, Crete, creating a powerful network that includes over 400 cooperating travel agencies countrywide. Their motto? Quality, responsiveness, reliability and effectiveness. “My vision is for the company to grow even more and to evolve into a diversified travel agency in Southeast Europe which will serve as a reference point for the sector and will continue to offer the highest quality services to both the domestic and international travel market,” Marine Tours vice president & CEO, Konstantinos Oikonomou said in a feature published in Sunday’s Proto Thema. “Even if management is modernized, our values remain constant: quality – responsiveness – reliability – effectiveness: these are the navigating forces of the company from 1980 to date,” Mr. Oikonomou added. In the meantime, the company is proud to announce “Traveler Trip View”, a new iOS and Android application to be available next year. “Traveler Trip View” will offer direct and accurate information about the company’s future trips and specialized services. Marine Tours has also invested in “Traveler Tracker” in order to ensure the maximum safety of their customers 24/7.
