Dear colleagues, collaborators, friends and visitors of the 30th Philoxenia, Once again this year, the international tourism exhibition of Thessaloniki opens its doors and welcomes you. This year’s event is even more special for us because the past summer filled us with optimism, which revitalized us so that we can continue to fight for Greek tourism. It was a summer during which arrivals to our country exceeded all expectations and once again placed us high on the world tourism stage. The belief that tourism is a power that we must take advantage of for the development of our country has proven correct and we can proudly say that we are feeling justified. Sacrifices were needed from both our sector, as well as from the other tourism professionals. However, the main change was that of mentality, which was essential for the rebirth of tourism in Greece. The sun and the sea are beautiful but tourists return mainly for the Greek hospitality that is not limited to the summer season and cannot be found anywhere else in the world. That is our most important export product. So, we gladly invite you to work together and make Greece and our city an all year round destination, for every season and every taste. Welcome!
