During the workshop, local tourism sector representatives discussed strategies for the best promotion of the island’s culinary offerings and products as well as of Hippocrates’ legacy. Following the example of the Hellenic Chamber of Hotels’ “Greek Breakfast” project and the Chamber of the Dodecanese’s “Aegean Cuisine” project, the island’s hoteliers in collaboration with the chef club said they have planned culinary events that will lead up to the Kos Gastronomy Year in 2016.
