Athos Cuisine at ‘Kouzina’ by GTP editing team 25 November 2014 written by GTP editing team 25 November 2014 0 comments Share 0FacebookTwitterLinkedinWhatsappEmail 9 Greek chef Dina Nikolaou, 18 local chefs and five European colleagues will bring their culinary skills to the table for a month of events dedicated to the products and cuisine of the Mount Athos region in northern Greece. In collaboration with the Greek-Italian Chamber of Commerce -Thessaloniki, Mrs. Nikolaou will present 32 culinary evenings as part of the Mount Athos Area Organization’s “Kouzina” event to be held in the Halkidiki Peninsula on 15 May-15 June 2015. Each culinary evening will be dedicated to local products and their use in the region’s cuisine as it has evolved through time. The annual event, to be presented to tour operators and tourism sector professionals in six European cities before it opens in Greece, is supported by 22 local businesses, three trade bodies, 22 local producers and nine local associations. The culture, cuisine and natural habitat that make the Athos region a prime tourist destination were presented during the “Meet the Experts” event organized by tour operator Sunvil at this year’s World Travel Market in London.
