Parnassos will welcome passionate skiers with a new look that includes ultramodern lifts, part of an investment project of 17 million euros.

The ski center’s new look includes a brand-new “combi” lift that connects the Kellaria site with the Vakhos slope for the first time. This is one of the four most modern type “combi” lifts in world and has the potential to safely elevate skiers from 1.750m to 2.250m altitude in less than 10 minutes.

The upgrading of the lifts and facilities at the Parnassos Ski Center completes the first renovation phase carried by the Public Properties Company (ETAD) through NSRF funds and in cooperation with the Tourism Ministry, the Region of Sterea Ellada and municipalities of Amfiklia, Arachova and Delphi.

According to ETAD, the second phase of the project is already in progress and will include modernization works at the Fterolaka site. The project will also include the installation of a wind farm for the ski center to achieve energy autonomy. The project’s second phase is expected to be completed in 2015 and a third phase will follow.

The renovation works at the Parnassos Ski Center are aimed at upgrading its services, developing the region’s economy, strengthening special forms of tourism, improve competitiveness, extend the tourism season and adapt to climate change.

Prices at the Parnassos Ski Center will remain unchanged this season for the seventh time in a row.
