The progress of reforms and the developments in Greece’s tourism, transport, real estate, shipping and banking sectors were the focus of this year’s 16th Capital Link Invest in Greece Forum, held at New York’s Metropolitan Club. Government officials, banking executives, entrepreneurs and consultants attended the event, which highlighted the importance of the US capital market as a “major source of fund raising” for an increasing number of Greek companies as well as the NYSE’s decisive role in this direction. NYSE Euronext Senior VP John Merrell welcomed the Greek delegation on Tuesday, and besides praising Greece for its growth potential, underlined the beauty of its landscape through his own Aegean island experience.
