HATTA members now have the possibility to become members of the hotel chamber, the nationwide institutional consultant of the state, through an existing legislation. According to an announcement, the broadening of the membership to include travel agents/HATTA members will enhance the chamber’s status, a development which will mark a new era in its attempt to strengthen Greek tourism. “We welcome HATTA’s members to the chamber’s family and we will work together for the benefit of tourism and the country’s economy,” the president of the hotel chamber, Yiorgos Tsakiris, said. The Greek tourism minister underlined the importance of cooperation between the forces of the country’s tourism industry and stressed the need for joint efforts and activities aimed at improving the quality of Greek tourism. She applauded the efforts of the hotel chamber that are directed towards the industry’s progress.
