Every two months as of January 12 in the Vomos Hall, visitors will have a chance to see rare items that have never before come into the museum spotlight.

The first exhibit in the “Unseen” series is the Ring of Theseus, a Mycenaean signet ring uncovered during the Acropolis excavation works in the 1950s and presented to the public for the first time.

In the meantime, at 6pm on January 12 in the Vomos Hall, to the accompaniment of Ancient Greek music, the museum’s Society of Friends will present its 2015 calendar featuring rare photographs from the museum archives including information about its collections, restoration and research work.
