Domestic flights increased by 1.9 percent and international flights by 13.7 percent, compared to the same period last year, revealing stronger than ever year-on-year growth. Authorities expect even better results when the December 2014 figures are included, paving the way for an even more challenging year in 2015. In November, the official launch of the winter season, domestic flights recorded a 12.2 percent rise and international flights a 17.2 percent increase, compared to the same period last year. Charter flights to Greek airports also increased by 19 percent in November, compared to the same month in 2013, with the Kalamata Airport leading the way.
