Greece’s Association of Airline Representatives Honors Founding Members

Andreas Stylianopoulos, president and CEO of Navigator Travel & Tourist Services; Zoi Skreki, managing director of Intermodal Air; Mihalis Flerianos, director general of Gold Star Aviation; Dinos Frantzeskakis, managing director of Discover the World Marketing; Rita Zambeli, former general secretary and public relations director of SAAE; Maria Theofanopoulou, CEO of Danae Airlines; Konstantinos Tsovilis, CEO of Goldair Group; and Antonis Zaharioudakis, managing director of Aerocandia Aviation Services.

The Hellenic Association of Airline Representatives (SAAE) recently honored its founding members at a ceremony that followed its first Board of Directors meeting of the year.

SAAE counts 17 members. Currently, there are 118 airlines operating in Greece of which 73 are represented by Greek general sales agents (GSAs).

The aim of the association, beyond contributing to the solution of problems that concern the aviation sector, is the advancement and development of the airline industry in parallel with the prospects of tourism development in Greece as a whole.

Award ceremony

The association’s honorary president and founding member Stelios Golemis received an honorary plaque in recognition of his work, contribution and offer to SAAE’s development and to the aviation sector in general. The honorary plaque was received on his behalf by Konstantinos Tsovilis, CEO of Goldair Group.

The association’s founding member and past president, the late Anastasios Stylianopoulos was honored with a commemorative honorary diploma in gratitude of his work and contribution to the development of SAAE. The diploma was received on his behalf by his son Andreas Stylianopoulos, president and CEO of Navigator Travel & Tourist Services and honorary member of SAAE.

The association’s founding member and past president, the late Lefteris Theofanopoulos was honored with a commemorative honorary diploma in gratitude of his work and contribution to the development of SAAE. The diploma was received on his behalf by his daughter Maria Theofanopoulou, CEO of Danae Airlines, GSA of Korean Air in Greece and CEO of Danae Travel and GTP publications.

The association’s former general secretary and public relations director Margarita (Rita) Zambeli was honored for her work and long and valuable contribution to SAAE since its establishment until recently.

The award ceremony was followed by the cutting of the New Year cake vasilopita. Congratulations went to Yiannis Lentzakis, the vice president of sales of Lymberpa SA, who retrieved the lucky flouri (good-luck coin) from the vasilopita.
