Penetrating the Dutch market is a priority for the organization, which presented holiday options under the title “Athos Summer”. The region’s offerings include sports, culinary, archaeological and cultural travel. In the meantime, the organization arranged B2B meetings with tour operators and announced a culinary fam trip which will take place in the run up to the famed Mount Athos Area Organization’s month-long “Kouzina” event to be held in the Halkidki Peninsula. A World Heritage site, Mount Athos and its surrounding region offer visitors to Greece a unique experience with world-acclaimed events like “Mount Athos Area Kouzina”, which kicks off on May 15, featuring Athos culinary traditions as well as innovative dishes using local products.
