Among the 20 destinations nominated for the 10Best Readers’ Choice category of Best Romantic Port of Call, USA Today has included the Greek islands of Mykonos and Santorini. The nominated ports are top picks for a “sexy and intimate time ashore” and selected by USA Today’s panel of cruise experts. “Cruising is certainly an intimate way to travel, and destinations from the Caribbean to Europe to the South Pacific only amp up the romance,” USA Today says. The list of nominees include ports in Amalfi Coast, Italy; Bali, Indonesia; Barcelona, Spain; Bora Bora, French Polynesia; Capri, Italy; Istanbul, Turkey; Kauai, Hawaii; Maldives; Monte Carlo, Monaco; Moorea, French Polynesia; New York; Portofino, Italy; Rio de Janeiro; Saint-Tropez, France; San Francisco; St. Barths; Taormina, Italy; and Venice, Italy.
