According to regulation 49 C.F.R. 175.25, airline officials are required to notify passengers of limitations of transporting dangerous goods either before the purchase of their ticket or at airport check-in. Among the airlines affected is Copa Airlines, which serves the following US cities: Boston, Chicago, Fort Lauderdale, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Miami, New York, Orlando, Tampa and Washington Dulles. The Panama-based carrier provides commercial air service throughout North, Central and South America, serving 45 destinations in 24 countries.
