Conventa is a leading B2B event in the South East European region area. The TCB was featured among this year’s selection of “Conventa Wild Cards”, a program designed to help new or emerging meeting providers to enter the global meeting industry market. According to Efi Koudeli, General Manager of the Thessaloniki Convention Bureau, trade shows like Conventa are a good opportunity for the TCB to increase brand awareness to place Thessaloniki on the international map of the MICE industry. Launched last year, the TCB is a non-profit bureau established to promote the Greek Northern City as a destination for European and international conferences. The entrepreneurs that launched the bureau are all based in Thessaloniki and are directly involved in congress tourism. This was the first time Greece participated in the Conventa exhibition.
