One of this year’s judges, Dimitrios Diamantis, MBA director Les Roches International School of Hotel Management, Switzerland, underlines the strongest advantages of the Greek tourism product: hospitality, quality of accommodation, diversity and innovation. According to Mr. Diamantis, these strong advantages are placing the Greek tourism product in a unique position. “The recent efforts to promote the diversity of Greek tourism has generated a significant demand both in Europe and Asia,” he explains. “China, for example, seems to be expressing a dynamic interest, which may emerge as a pattern.” His evaluation of the nominees for this year’s tourism awards will focus on innovation, strategy, services offered, pricing policy, sustainability and competitiveness.
