The region’s tiny chapels and majestic churches, vast olive groves and sandy shores took center stage during the annual show, in efforts to attract newly-weds or the about-to-be-wed to the region, which can prove to be an ideal backdrop for romantic honeymoon getaways. During a workshop at the event, the Mount Athos Area Organization informed wedding planners of the region’s offerings as a wedding/honeymoon tourism destination and added that there was great demand of package deals offered by local tour operators attending the show.
