Iberia has launched a new free service allowing customers to check-in online as soon as their have purchased their tickets, regardless of the flight date.

Iberia-A321The service is available on the company’s website for tickets booked through the Amadeus booking system, the most popular in Spain, which includes all tickets purchased on the Iberia website and from travel agencies. The service is valid for flights operated by Iberia, Iberia Express, and Iberia Regional Air Nostrum wherever online check-in is available, with the exception of the United Kingdom, the United States, Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador and Cuba.

For tickets purchased through other channels, the customer must visit the airline’s online check-in webpage, enter the booking code number, and follow instructions.

Some 20.000 boarding passes are issued each day via Iberia’s website, sparing customers the time of queuing at check-in counters or machines at the airport.

Iberia customers may also obtain electronic baggage tags during online check-in for all domestic flights and those to Switzerland and to 10 Latin American cities.
