These issues will be discussed during the International Health Tourism Convention (IHTC) to take place in March 11-14 at the Royal Olympic Hotel in central Athens. Under the motto “Knowledge, Policy, Strategy and Action”, the convention brings together international sector experts and professionals in efforts to address pressing issues while endorsing policies and strategies that will ensure the best utilization of the country’s medical enterprise. Already active in aesthetic surgery (cosmetic dentistry, plastic surgery), IVF and spa tourism, Greece aims to tap into geriatric tourism and assisted tourist residence abroad. Other issues to be addressed during the four-day event include macro-economic policies and strategies, entrepreneurship in health tourism, destinations, investment, assisted residential tourism (retirement housing and care abroad), as well as innovation. Suppliers and buyers active in medical, dental, spa, wellness, sports, culinary, accessible and assisted residential tourism will be attending.
