Jointly organized by the Chamber of the Cyclades and the Region of South Aegean with the support of the Chamber of the Dodecanese, the event will feature food expert Ilias Mamalakis and Mykonos Gastronomy Club member Dimitris Rousonelos. Participants will receive an Aegean Cuisine Network certification label, which aims to classify local wine, products and gastronomy and promote the Aegean islands as a single culinary destination. Photo source: e-kyklades.gr During the event, George Hatzigiannakis, owner of award-winning “Selene” restaurant on Santorini, will share his experience as a network member, and Vasia Kazazi, quality systems director for TUV Hellas, will speak about the recently completed certification process for new members. An open discussion will follow with thoughts and ideas for the future of the network. The “Aegean Cuisine” quality label aims to identify and ensure the quality of products produced in the Aegean. The network is open to restaurants, taverns, cafes, bakeries and wine bars that sell local products and wine from the Aegean islands. Blue Star Ferries is a transport sponsor.
