LOT Polish Airlines, the national flag carrier of Poland, joins over 95 airlines around the globe that have taken advantage of Travelport’s highly progressive technology that enables airlines to market and retail their products more effectively through the customization of product display and content. “Sometimes a picture is worth a thousand words. We are convinced that branded images and descriptions presented on agents’ screens, will help them to promote our package and tailor our offer to passengers’ needs”, Jiri Marek, Executive Sale and Distribution Director, LOT Polish Airlines, said. “Travelport’s Rich Content and Branding solution is a crucial part of our strategy to concentrate on ancillary development and to provide business and leisure travelers with the most flexible choices possible.” In addition, the airline has signed up for several key ancillary services that are available through Travelport Smartpoint, Travelport’s industry leading desktop solution for travel agencies. Connected agents now have the ability to add pre-paid luggage, sports equipment or upgrade meals for their customers, all of which can be searched and booked within their existing workflow, giving them the chance to better inform and encourage customers’ purchasing decisions. “Travelport is redefining travel commerce by bringing innovative new products to the travel industry and we are pleased that the airline has recognized the value of our merchandising offer”, Robin Ranken, Travelport’s Head of Airline Services Europe, said.
