Winners Named in Athens TEI Tourism Photo Contest

Award ceremony of the 2015 Student Tourism Photo Contest of the TEI of Athens.

The winning photo was taken by Eleftherios Harteros, student at the Photography & Audiovisual Arts Department of the TEI of Athens.

The Technological Educational Institution of Athens (TEI of Athens) on Wednesday awarded the winners in its 2015 Student Tourism Photo Contest.

Students were called to submit photos reflecting “Greek Nature and Life”, which would highlight the Greek landscape (natural landscapes and monuments, highlights of Greek everyday life, portraits of Greeks).

The ceremony was chaired by Professor Pericles Lytras, Deputy Chairman of the TEI of Athens.

The grand prize award for best photo was awarded to Eleftherios Harteros, student at the Photography & Audiovisual Arts Department of the TEI of Athens, who received the highest rating from the 11-member jury.

The second and third prizes were awarded to Mary Fountoulaki and Iliana Meidani, both students in the photography department. Other photo entries that made the top 10 received commendations.

The prizes were courtesy of Vodafone CU and the Greek magazine Fotografos.
