Royal Caribbean Cruises constantly evaluates partner performance and 2014 was Navigator’s year to stand out. On the occasion of RCL’s Global Tour Operator Conference that took place earlier this month in Coconut Grove in Miami, long time Greek partner Navigator Travel & Tourist Services won two coveted distinctions; the 2014 “Leadership in Sustainable Shore Excursions” and “Shore Excursion Manager’s Choice” awards. The first award was in recognition of Navigator’s successful third party certification and for additional steps taken to incorporate sustainability throughout its operation and the second, for consistent service excellence. Being among hundreds of companies around the world that offer destination management services to Royal Caribbean, to be singled out in this way is a proud making endorsement earned in the field of action. Upon receiving the awards, Navigator’s President & CEO Andreas Stylianopoulos stated “The greatest honor for any services provider is praise that comes directly from the client. Our relationship with Royal Caribbean remains strong for a second decade running and I am proud that this loyal bond between our companies is based on acknowledged merit”. Mr. Stylianopoulos underlined that his business is not “static” and maintaining the sharpness and quality needed to excel is all about hard work, reliability, attention to detail, constant product refinement… and keeping well ahead of the times. “This describes Navigator’s tradition in a nutshell… and of course, what we will continue to do in the future”. Roberta Jacoby, Managing Director for Global Tour Operations at Royal Caribbean Cruises. “Navigator has been an esteemed and valued partner for decades now”, said Roberta Jacoby, Managing Director for Global Tour Operations at Royal Caribbean Cruises. “They consistently go above and beyond in delivering environmentally friendly tour experiences for our guests in Greece. They also work seamlessly with our Shore Excursions staff onboard and were honored with the Shore Excursions Manager’s Choice award for their dedication to providing our onboard teams with unconditional support and excellent service.” With a history that began in the pioneering days of cruising, Navigator was initially a worldwide operator for Chandris Line and has been offering premium shore excursion, passenger handling and tour operating services for over half a century. Through the years the company has contributed to the shaping of contemporary destination management and shore excursion standards, as well as helping modernize and improve Greece’s shore product.
