Greek_travel_bloggersThe Municipality of Hersonissos in Crete for the first time will host a group of Greek travel bloggers aiming to promote the area’s beauty and customs to a wider audience.

The bloggers will arrive on Friday and stay for the whole weekend. Their agenda will include visits to various points of interest (Cave of Agia Fotini located outside Avdou village, the largest plane-tree in Crete at Krasi village, the dam lake of Aposelemis and Sfendyli village) and horseback riding. The bloggers will also attend the 6th Hellenic Zeus ITF Pro Circuit 2015 tennis match and discover the secrets of traditional Cretan cuisine through cooking lessons.

Participants will also experience the Aquarium of Crete (CretaAquarium) and attend local races on Sunday, March 29, (1st Autism Race and 1st Coastal Road Race).

“The Greek travel bloggers will be here to pass on the beauty of our destination and we are delighted to welcome them in our own Cretan way”, Deputy Mayor for Tourism and Employment Efthimis Mountrakis said.

“The purpose of this action is to promote our destination through the eyes of people who have traveled a lot”, he added.

The Greek travel bloggers who will visit Hersonissos include Maria Kalymnou (www.maryhop.com), Christos Lukas (www.blogtravels.gr), Maria Kofou (www.travelstoriesfromyworld.com), Kostas Fylaktos (www.runvel.gr) and Maria Petropoulou (www.mylandingrunway.com).
