Attica Group Welcomes the ‘Blue Galaxy’ to its Crete Itinerary

Blue Star DelosAs part of its fleet expansion program, Attica Group announced on Wednesday, that its subsidiary Blue Star Ferries received the Blue Galaxy under a long-term charter agreement (bareboat) from Hellas 2 Leasing.

The Blue Galaxy is 192m long, can reach a speed of 24 knots and boasts a capacity of 1,500 passengers and 703 cars or 150 trucks and 70 passenger cars.

Following extensive renovations, the ferry now offers passengers upgraded services and all the modern amenities for a comfortable trip with 658 beds, airline style seats, two restaurants, bars, lounges and shops.

The vessel will be operational in the coming months on routes to Crete in collaboration with ANEK Lines.

Athens-based Attica Group is the parent company of Superfast Ferries and Blue Star Ferries, with ships serving connections between Greece and Italy in the Adriatic Sea and between mainland Greece and the Cycladic, Dodecanese islands and Crete.
