Amilia_Mare_1The Aldemar Group’s renovated Amilia Mare hotel, located on the Dodecanese island of Rhodes, ushers in the summer season with new offerings, upgraded facilities and the finest services in its efforts to keep up with the needs of its travelling customers.

Amilia_Mare_2The group invested over 2.5 million euros in the upgrade of one of its two Rhodes units and reworked its marketing strategy, which included the rebranding and repositioning of the hotel in new markets in efforts to minimise the expected losses from the dwindling numbers of Russian tourists, Aldemar Resorts Vice President Alexandros Angelopoulos told the Athens News Agency (ANA).

Reservations, he said, for May have dropped by 40 percent compared to last year.

Rhodes is as of late the champion in new and modernized units. Aldemar Resorts is part of the trend, giving impetus to the complex economy behind the development and furnishing of Greek hotels. This project was completed by Greeks, with Greek materials, as should be the case, confirming the multifaceted nature of tourism. The start of the season must find us banded together and creative,” he said.

Amilia_Mare_3Mr Angelopoulos told ANA that the accommodation business on Rhodes is large and highly competitive, posing a threat to those enterprises lagging in modernisation investments.

Founded in 1977, Aldemar is one of the leading hotel chains in Greece with a total 5,500-bed capacity and 1,800 employees.
