Tirana-Rhodes Chartered Flight to Open for Summer Season

Albanian travel agencies Jona Travel & Key Tours Agency will launch a weekly charter flight connecting Tirana to Rhodes this summer, the Region of the South Aegean announced on Tuesday.

The Tirana-Rhodes charter flight will run from late May until October 10 and will be operated with an Aegean Airlines’ Airbus seating 174 passengers.

The Tirana-based agencies have a high-end clientele and is already active in Halkidiki and Corfu.

The agency chose Rhodes as its next destination in order to expand its presence in the Greek tourism market, the president of Jona Travel & Key Tours Agency, Elona Gjondedai, informed the region’s vice governor of Tourism, Marieta Papavasileiou-Vakiani.

The aim of the new venture is to increase weekly flights to Rhodes in the future and is part of the region’s efforts to introduce Rhodes to new tourism markets.
