AIA_national_opera_posterThe Greek National Opera has proven over the past years that it can bring the art of opera to unexpected and unpredictable places.

On Friday, May 8, two singers of the Greek National Opera, mezzo sopranos Eleni Voudouraki and Eirini Athanasiou, will give a surprise performance at Athens International Airport (AIA).

The artists, accompanied by a piano, will present a brief program of famous arias from the opera repertory to passengers and visitors of the airport.

Through such performances, the Greek National Opera aims to introduce the art of opera to a wider audience and make it an inextricable part of the everyday life of Athenians and visitors.

Eleni Voudouraki and Eirini Athanasiou will perform 13:30-14:50 at the airport’s Departures Level at entrance 3, an area open to the public.

Their performance is part of the “Fly me to the Moon”, a manifold cooperation between Athens International Airport and ελculture cultural platform.
