Event News Second Mediterranean Yacht Show in Nafplio Hailed a Success by Organizers by GTP editing team 12 May 2015 written by GTP editing team 12 May 2015 0 comments Share 0FacebookTwitterLinkedinWhatsappEmail 8 The 2nd Mediterranean Yacht Show, organized in Nafplio by the Greek Yachting Association (GYA), was hailed a success with 67 crewed luxury yachts lining the dock for the event. According to the GYA, the five-day luxury yacht event, held May 2-6, attracted an increase in the number of attending yachts as well as an overall improvement in their quality. The yacht show welcomed 242 yacht brokers from Antigua. British Virgin Islands, Croatia, Cyprus, France, Germany, Gibraltar, Greece, Italy, Israel, Turkey, Monaco, Poland, Russia, Switzerland, United Kingdom and the United States. Seventeen industry professionals exhibited their yachting services and supplies in venues while the show also offered essential networking opportunities. The event was attended by representatives of leading international yachting companies such as Camper & Nicholsons, Edmiston & Company, Fraser Yachts, Yachting Partners International, Burgess, Northrop &Johnson, Luxury Charter Group as well as representatives of MYBA The Worldwide Yachting Association. During the five-day show, a series of events such as cocktail receptions, wine tasting and thematic parties took place on individual yachts every evening. The organization of the 2nd Mediterranean Yacht Show was a joint effort by GYA, the Municipality of Nafplio and the Region of the Peloponnese. The show was held under the auspices of the Ministry of Economy, Infrastructure, Shipping & Tourism. The 3rd Mediterranean Yacht Show will take place in Nafplio in early May 2016 (exact dates are expected to be disclosed soon).
