Registration Open for Third XTERRA Greece Off-road Triathlon Event

Top professional and amateur athletes from 23 countries will meet up on June 20 at Lake Plastira in Karditsa, for the 3rd XTERRA Greece Championship, the official XTERRA off road triathlon event in Greece that combines swimming with mountain biking and trail running.

In the 3rd XTERRA Greece Championship, athletes can choose between the official Full Distance race (1,5km swim, 30km mountain bike, 10km run) or the Sprint Distance race (750m, 15km mountain bike, 5km run) for the newcomers.

The swim event will take place in the pure and clean waters of the mountain lake.

During the bike course, athletes will ride through magical verdant woods — comprising of oak, plane and chestnut trees and abundant flowing waters — and enjoy breathtaking views of the lake.

The run follows paths and forest roads in the woods, at the shores of the lake. Although it is challenging, athletes will not face any serious difficulties.

Registration for the 3rd XTERRA Greece Championship ends on June 7.

XTERRA is the world’s premier off-road multisport event. Events of the XTERRA World Tour are held each year in 25 countries. All events offer prize money and the chance to qualify to the final of the World Championship held every October in Hawaii, USA.
