The concert will begin at 7pm in the park that lies between the train tracks (Thissio train station), Apostolou Pavlou and Agion Asomaton pedestrian walkways. Some of the opera arias are inspired from Greek mythology and the history of Ancient Greece. The concert is part of a “Cultural Walk” organised in order to raise awareness for the Historic Centre of Athens, and will be followed by other interesting stops along the walk up to the Acropolis. The “Cultural Walk” is part of the series of events titled “Spring in the Historic Center of Athens”, which includes concerts, theater happenings, talks and guided tours. The initiative has been launched by the new Organizations and Citizens Network for the Historic Centre of Athens, which brings together Athens residents and local community groups, aims to provide the grounds for constructive exchange and pave the way for actions that will improve and safeguard the standard of living in the heart of the Greek capital.
