‘Blogtrotters’ Set Social Media Abuzz for Thessaloniki, Mount Olympus & Halkidiki

Thessaloniki and Mount Olympus instantly became trending topics on social media once the “Blogtrotters 2015” event kicked off on Wednesday.

A group of 45 travel, lifestyle and urban bloggers from Germany, France, UK, Spain, Italy, Austria, Switzerland and Poland toured Thessaloniki and Mount Olympus for the last two days and told the world about it! As early as the second day of the event the numbers were in: over 7.5 million social media impressions and 1.5 million unique users.

The Blogtrotters 2015 event wraps up on Friday, June 19, with a Halkidiki-style beach party.

The bloggers are also sharing their stories and photos of Thessaloniki, Mount Olympus and Halkidiki on a specially designed microsite.
