Aldemar Resorts shined at the Hospitality Awards 2015 last week and walked away with gold and silver awards in eight categories. The award ceremony took place on June 17 at the Ethniki Conference Center in Athens and was organized by Ethos Events and Hrima magazine. Among the distinguished nominees, Aldemar Resorts came in first place — gold — in four categories and second place — silver — in four others. Gold Awards Aldemar Resorts was crowned as the “Best Greek Sustainable Hotel & Resort” and the Aldemar Royal Mare stood out in two categories: – “Best Greek Thalasso Resort”, as being the “birthplace” of Thalassotherapy in Greece and after being listed for many years as the World’s Leading Thalasso & Spa Center. – “Best Greek Hotel & Resort Dining Experience”, for promoting Greece’s culinary culture through the practices of Aldemar’s team of executive chefs who also lead the annual Sympossio Greek Gourmet Touring around the world. Aldemar Resorts’ fourth gold award was scooped up by the Aldemar Olympian Village, which came in first place as the “Best Greek All-Inclusive Resort” providing the best services and selections among 12 sections of catering. Aldemar Olympian Village The Aldemar Olympian Village also won the following silver awards for “Best Greek Beach Resort”, “Best Greek Family Resort”, “Best Greek Spa Resort” and “Best Greek Hotel & Resort Spa”. Τhe award ceremony was held during the Hospitality Forum & Awards event which aimed to highlight the keys for boosting the economic growth of Greek hotels. The awards were created to recognize and celebrate sustainability, innovation and excellence for those in the tourism industry boosting Greece’s image on the world’s map creating favourable conditions for growth through the country’s culture, products and services. In an announcement, Aldemar Vice President Alexandros Angelopoulos referred to the importance of such initiatives: “Both abroad and within the country we have to recognize and applaud the efforts of tourism professionals in Greece. They still keep our pride up, overcoming difficulties, through the provision of exceptional hospitality, creating in each visitor’s memory traits of positivity and love for this country.
