First Loutraki Fest Welcomes Summer with Song and Dance

Loutraki_Fest_logoThe seaside resort town of Loutraki near Corinth welcomes the summer in true artsy style with dozens of concerts and events taking place at some of the city’s most interesting locations during the 1st Loutraki Festival.

Featuring everything from rhythm ’n’ blues and rock to classical to popular Greek music, the festival aims to stimulate creativity by tapping into the region’s cultural forces as well as attracting tourism to the region.

Some of the city’s prime tourist locations, include the beach, it’s famous casino, the Corinth Isthmus, the Poseidon Resort, the Loutraki seaside park, and Heraion Lake will host the events.

Loutraki_FestPopular Greek artists including Eleftheria Arvanitaki, Natassa Bofiliou and the Burger Project, and shows including dance, a choir festival, the flamenco-styled staging of Medea, a children’s show on bullying and Tuesday’s Sunset Sessions all about jamming on the beach promise to keep locals and visitors entertained throughout the summer.

The festival comes to a romantic close during the full moon on August 29 with a concert by internationally acclaimed artist Eleftheria Arvanitaki at the Heraion in Vouliagmeni.
