The two-year contract is effective as of July and will run until June 2017. Under the agreement, ICTS Hellas will provide services that include the screening of passengers, hand baggage, crew, cargo and postal material within the premises of the Piraeus central passenger port terminals. The agreement with Greece’s largest port follows ICTS Hellas’ security control cooperations at the Greek ports of Mykonos, Patra, Igoumenitsa, Kos and Thessaloniki. ICTS Hellas holds the leading position in maritime security services in Greece, providing services to 22 ports and port facilities and having served more than 700,000 cruise passengers in 2014, which represents some 14 percent of last year’s total cruise passenger arrivals (excluding departures). “The confidence of the country’s first port confirms the leadership of ICTS Hellas within the demanding field of cruise passenger safety. Featuring the most qualified security personnel to conduct travel document checks and physical inspections, we are ready to assist the Piraeus Port Authority in its strategic aim of becoming the most important cruise destination in the Mediterranean”, the CEO of ICTS Hellas, Panagiotis Kambouroglou, said.
