Air_AstanaAir Astana, the Kazakhstan flag carrier, celebrated success again at the 2015 Skytrax World Airline Awards as it achieved the title of “Best Airline Central Asia / India” for the fourth successive year and “Best Airline Staff Service Central Asia/India” for the third year. This year’s award ceremony took place last week at the 51st edition of the Paris Air Show.

Skytrax World Airline Awards are coveted quality accolades for the world airline industry. Travellers from across the globe take part each year in the world’s largest airline passenger satisfaction survey to decide the award winners.

“We are delighted to have won the award for the fourth consecutive time, and would like to thank our customers for having voted for us”, Air Astana’s Peter Foster said when he commented on the award success.

The latest Skytrax awards are based on a survey of 18.89 million airline passengers from around the world who voted across a range of survey topics between September 2014 and May 2015.

“We do not take your loyalty for granted and we will continue to work hard to improve both product and service”, Mr. Foster added.

Airline passengers from more than 105 countries participated in the latest Skytrax survey, which covered 245 airlines worldwide, from leading international airlines to smaller domestic carriers.

This latest success comes as the airline celebrates its 13th anniversary this summer. Air Astana reported a record operating profit of US$97.7 m in 2014 representing a 35 percent increase over 2013.  It has also experienced increased traffic and network expansion over the past 12 months, including new international services launching from Astana to Bangkok in December and direct flights from Astana to Paris in March this year.  Extra frequencies were added from Astana to London Heathrow last June.

The general sales agent (GSA) for Air Astana in Greece is Goldair – Golemis Air Services.
